Lunar Eclipse
Seven-Day Threshold Walk
August 24-30, 2026
An Invitation
This week feels like it carries threshold energy—not because we need to predict what will happen or force transformation, but because it offers an invitation to pay attention: to what we already know, what our bodies are telling us, what may be complete, and what is becoming possible.
So, if it serves you, I invite you into a seven-day Threshold Walk. You do not have to do every prompt. You do not have to share what comes up. You do not have to arrive at a decision by the end of the week.
The practice is simply to notice.
What is my life showing me about who I am now?
MONDAY (KNOWING): What truth is already here?
Threshold Inquiry
What do I already know that I keep treating as though I don’t know?
Where am I waiting for more information when something in me may already know?
If I allowed myself to know what I know, what might that ask of me?
Evening Practice: Truth Without Action
Find a quiet place and take a few slow breaths. Place one hand on your heart and one somewhere lower on your body.
Say aloud: “I am willing to know without requiring myself to act tonight.”
Write for 10 minutes beginning with: “The truth I may already know is…”
Then stop. No plan is required. Knowing can be enough for tonight.
TUESDAY (LISTENING): What has my life taught me?
Threshold Inquiry
What has changed me, disappointed me, wounded me, or broken an illusion I once needed?
What do I understand now that I could not have understood before?
What wisdom belongs to me now?
Which survival lesson was useful then but may no longer be true now?
Evening Practice: From Story to Truth
Choose one thing that surfaced today.
STORY: What did this experience teach me I had to become, do, tolerate, prove, hide, or protect?
TRUTH: What do I know now?
Read the truth aloud and notice what happens in your body. No fixing. No analysis. Just notice.
WEDNESDAY (DISCERNING): What am I ready to stop carrying?
Threshold Inquiry
What am I carrying because it is truly mine—and what am I carrying because I became accustomed to carrying it?
What responsibility, role, expectation, identity, or way of being has become heavier than it needs to be?
What once protected, served, or helped me survive but now asks too much of me?
Where am I continuing out of obligation, habit, loyalty, fear, or an old understanding of who I needed to be?
What have I already outgrown, even if I have not yet admitted it?
If I did not have to release anything today, what could I simply acknowledge that I no longer want to carry forward?
Today, we tell the truth about the weight. Tomorrow, we decide what crosses the threshold with us.
Evening Practice: Set Down the Weight
Take a few quiet minutes and choose one thing that represents something you have been carrying: a book, stone, bag, piece of clothing—anything with a little physical weight.
Hold it in your hands.
Notice its weight without changing anything. Notice what your body does while holding it.
Then ask: What does carrying this require of me?
Let whatever comes arise without trying to solve it.
When you’re ready, place the object on the floor or a table in front of you.
Feel the difference in your hands, shoulders, breath, belly.
Then say, aloud if that feels right to you: “I can recognize what I am carrying without deciding tonight what must go. I am allowed to know when something has become heavy. I will meet tomorrow with open hands.”
Leave the object there overnight.
The thing has been set down, but not yet released.
Tomorrow’s question becomes whether you pick it back up and carry it across the threshold.
THURSDAY (RELEASING): What is complete?
Today is the lunar eclipse — the threshold at the center of this walk. Yesterday, discernment asked you to notice what is true, what is yours, and what you are carrying. You were invited to set something down without yet deciding whether it needed to leave. Today is the day to return to what you set down.
Release is not about forcing an ending or throwing away everything that feels difficult. It is about recognizing what is already complete — and becoming willing to stop negotiating with that knowing.
Threshold Inquiry
What has already ended that I keep trying to keep alive?
What am I finished with — even if I have not yet admitted that I am finished?
What am I carrying because it is still mine, and what am I carrying because I have not given myself permission to put it down?
Where am I still arguing with my body about something it already knows?
What would become possible if I stopped negotiating with what is already complete?
Evening Practice: Crossing the Threshold
Return to the object you chose yesterday — the thing you gave physical weight to and set down overnight.
Pick it up again. Feel its weight in your hands. Notice what happens in your body now.
Ask: “Knowing what I know now, is this still mine to carry?”
Do not rush to answer. Notice your breath, shoulders, belly, hands. Let your body participate in the knowing.
Stand on one side of a doorway or another physical threshold. Let the space behind you represent what has been.
Name aloud what you now recognize as complete. Do not explain it, justify it, or decide what comes next. Simply name it.
“I honor what this was. I honor who I had to be here. And I release my obligation to remain who I was.”
Then decide what happens with the object. If what it represents is still yours to carry, carry it deliberately across the threshold with you. If it is complete, leave the object behind as you cross. You do not have to destroy or discard it tonight. The ritual is the choice about whether it crosses with you.
When you are ready, cross the threshold.
“I do not need to know who I am becoming to know what I am no longer available for.”
On the other side, pause. Feel your hands. Feel what is present — whether you crossed carrying the object or left it behind. If you left it behind, use one simple physical act — extinguishing a candle, washing your hands, showering, or stepping outside — to mark completion. If you carried it with you, place it somewhere intentionally rather than automatically returning it to where it was.
Then let the practice be complete.
FRIDAY (MOVING): What is the next true step?
Threshold Inquiry
Given what I know now, what is one true movement?
What wants movement now?
What is the smallest action that would bring my external life into greater alignment with what I know internally?
Evening Practice: One Step
Ask: “What did I move today?”
If the answer is nothing, ask: “Is stillness actually my true movement right now?” If yes, honor it. If no, name one action for tomorrow.
One step. Not the whole map.
SATURDAY (RECOGNIZING): Who am I now?
Threshold Inquiry
Who is here now beneath my roles, titles, obligations, and old descriptions of myself?
What suddenly doesn’t fit?
What can I see now that I couldn’t see before?
What am I unwilling to abandon in myself anymore?
What am I newly available for?
Evening Practice: Meeting Yourself
Stand in front of a mirror, or sit somewhere you can be fully present with yourself.
Ask aloud: “Who are you now?”
Wait. Do not manufacture an answer. If words come, speak them. If emotion comes, let it. If nothing comes, let that be true too.
Close with: “I am willing to meet who is here now before deciding who I need to become next.”
SUNDAY (GROUNDING): Bring it to earth.
Threshold Inquiry
What does what I learned this week change about how I actually live?
What became clearer about my body, relationships, desires, boundaries, responsibilities, aliveness, or sense of self?
What wants to become practice rather than remain insight?
Evening Practice: Crossing Complete
Return to Thursday’s threshold if you can. Stand on the side you crossed into.
Read anything from the week that still feels alive.
Complete three statements aloud: “I know…” “I am no longer available for…” “I am choosing…”
Choose one embodied commitment to carry forward. Not a reinvention project. A practice.
Close with: “I do not need the whole map. I trust what has become visible. I trust myself to meet what comes next. I am here.”
Throughout the Week
If something catches your attention - a conversation, a dream, a bodily response, an unexpected emotion, a synchronicity, a moment of relief or resistance - try not to rush to interpret it.
Simply record: “I noticed…”
By Sunday, there may be a pattern. There may be one clear thing. There may simply be deeper contact with yourself. All of those count.
The Question Beneath the Walk
What is my life showing me about who I am now?
